i currently have a 45gal. the lighting is a lunar aqualight. has 2x96W cp flourecents (a 10,000k and an actinic)[and lunars but that not important]. with a 45 gal this gives me 4.26W/gal. i was looking to start a reef tank. Since i just got them and i now see a local sale on a 75 gal, i am concidering the upgrade (hoping that i can exchange the lights). but the new lighting i see (which is $40 more) has 4x65W bulbs. this only gives me 3.46W/gal. i know it is a difference, but is it huge? the 75 will probably be shorter than the 45.
the big question is what will my limitations be on corals?? plz help me!! :help:
