Lighting for 150g FOWLR

Coralife 48 Inch Aqualight W/ 4-65W Straight Pin Base And 4/4W Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow LED Lamps
My question is, would this fixture be enough to light up the entire tank (150g) with dimensions of 60x24x24 and a canopy thats 15 inches high. the lights will be mounted to the top of the canopy. also, is that enough LED lights to light up the tank?
im just looking to light up the tank, not to house corals since this tank is going to be FOWLR. i just need enough light to make the tank visible, and if i do need some more lights ill prob just use some cheap fluorescent lights from the LFS
would this fixture be sufficient?

Do the bulbs extend the length of the 48"fixture? If so, and you center it over your tank, you are left with only 6" of "dead" area on each side. It would probably work. The ends of your tank might be a little dim though. You could always gut the fixture and position the lights in a staggered pattern, which should light the whole tank.

yeah the bulbs are inside the 48'' fixture ( end to end ) i dont think i want to gut out the bulbs from its fixture tho. if i do have 2 dead zones on each side could i just go buy small, cheap, fluorescent lights to fix that or would u recommend going with 2 fixtures and staggering them...( i don't really want to go with 2 separate fixtures b.c of the price)

Have you tried the fixture you have to see if the ends of the tank will be to dark?

no i have not, ive just been looking online at fixtures. i want to go with the one that has 4x96 watts and 6 LED lights but its too long. so i have to go with the 48'' but just puts out around half the watts.

You could most likely retrofit PC's into a canopy for much less than buying a fixture. You can also buy LED's for about a buck a piece,and either use resistors witha 12V power supply or a 3V power supply without the resistors as most of the LED's available are 3VDC from my knowledge.

i dont think im going to retrofit the lights b.c it would be easier to just buy a complete fixture. anyway....im also thinking about paint the inside of th eanopy with sealant and some reflective paint. i think this wil help make the lights brighter
