Lighting for 20g. FOWLR

Is a 20k too much light for a 20g.H fowlr? I need to replace my light and would like it to appear brighter (currently has a UV bulb), I've read the 10k looks yellow. Does the 20k heat up more? I also have some shrimp and dusters and would like to get some coraline growth on the rocks.

I'm probably going tommorrow to get another bulb (15w flourescent). They sell 50/50 (6.5k), 10K, and 20K. Just can't decide which one.
