Lighting for 210 Fish only tank

That is too much light for what you are wanting to do. You could save some money and just get a 6' flouresent light that will be just as effective. However, if you want to do corals, then that light will be decent.
Also, if you would like to sell, it...I would be interested.

So what kind of light, hood, glass cover would you use on a 210 aggressive tank?
If I use the compacts, would it bother some of the fish? Like a Zebra eel? Would it giveme too much algae?

I wouldn't use the pcs unless you think itll make yer fish look prettier. Regular flourescents are good to use, and as long as you alternate the lights (10 hours or so, 14 hours off) then that shouldn't be a problem. Power compacts are more expensive, cost more to replace the bulbs and also get very hot. A regular flourescent strip will do the same job almost. You can buy like a 2 lamp strip, with two lamps on it, and that should keep ya covered.

You will probably find you get more "activity" from your predators and aggresives with lower light (like 1 watt/gallon NO)
And more "hiding" if you go "bright" like reef lighting...

I definitely agree. With just having fish, I would do the lower light. Just run a regular flourescent strip on the tank and it should illuminate the tank fine. Going with the higher lighting, like you said, you will definitely get more algae than wanted. Plus, you will see an eel, lionfish, puffer in the open a lot more with lower light.
