lighting for 29 gal reef tank

wat would be the best lighting for a 29 galreef tank??? i have herd that a metal halide 150-250 watt????? would be good
im lookn for somethingy under $$150

What would you like to keep in the tank?
There's no 150 watt MH system that I know of for $150 or less, unless you build it yourself with relatively low quality parts.

Depends what kind of corals you want: soft, LPS, SPS?
Any clams or anemones?

i want something that will grow both hard and soft
how about metal reflectors? or however ya spell it??

If you want hard corals like SPS, clams, and/or anemones, you should look into a metal halide fixture, which would run you about $200-250 or so for a nice single bulb setup.
For just soft corals and some LPS you can get a simple PC fixture, say 2x65 watts or so for around $120-150 depending on where you get it.
