Lighting for 40 gallon breeder

I just picked up a 40 gallon breeder and got my sump and skimmer ready to go. I'm upgrading from a 28 gallon bowfront with no sump, so needless to say i'm pretty pumped. I'm looking into lighting and want to know if anyone lights a 36" tank with 1 250 watt hqi. I would think since the breeder is shallow i could hang the light slightly higher than normal and hopefully that would provide enough light to the corners of the tank. If i do this, i will also add 2 36" actinic T5s. Does anyone have pictures of or ever seen a 36" tank lit with a single 250 mh? Any info, opinions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

dont get any 1xMHwatts if there is a center brace on ur breeder, which i doubt there is...go for 2x250s.. i think ud be fine with 2x175s imo, if u are keeping softies

Well, if i do 2 39 watt actinics with 2 175 watt metal halides, that should be plenty for acros, wouldn't it? That would give me over 10 watts per gallon in a short tank. I just hate to think about the electric bill on 2 250s with couple t5s haha. Plus, with 15 watts per gallon, I'd be worried about bleaching out any new corals i bring home that aren't used to that much light.
