Lighting for a 75

I currently have a 75 reef and has been set up for a while. For the longest time I have only had 2 VHO 110. I was thinking about adding 2 250 MH but decided that I like more of the soft corals than the hard. I was thinking about doing @ VHO 110 and 1 MH on one side of the tank. Do you think that it should be a 175 or 250? My tank depth is 24 inches. You think I should add more VHO like a total of 4 and 1 MH ? My plan is haveing more hard corols on one side but gradually going to softer guys in my tank. I'm the type of guy that likes the movement in my aquarium. THX in advance Rick

There are alot of people here that will tell you that hards and softs should not be mixed if possible. That does not include polyps and shrooms, but distinct soft and hard corals. I don't know a whole lot about that but keep that in mind.
A 175 halide will be fine enough for your tank. One side will be noticeably brighter than the other if you do that though. 4 110 vhos is a respectable amount of light and there are some sps that can be kept under that. I stress some. Most anything lps and soft will be perfect under that setup and will provide you a maximization of movement that you like.
