Lighting for acrylic tank

I got a 125g acrylic tank that has an acrylic hood with built in acrylic flourescent light bulb holders. It has the ability to hold 4 bulbs, the previous owner only had 2 installed. I think they are NO, but I'm not sure. Since the tank top is not euro braced, would installing 4 VHO lights in the hood cause problems with the acrylic tank top or hood?
Anyone else have a similar setup?

I have a 135 acrylic with attached acrylic hood that has two 6' VHO and 4 4' NO with no problems. I even have the ballasts for the NO mounted on the back of the canopy. You should not have any problems with what you want to do. HTH.

I currently have a "Tenecor" soft seal 120 using 440wts of HO VHO on a Icecap 660 4 inchs of the water and i have no problems whatsoever. I did install 2 fans, one exhaust and intake on the back of my canopy to releive some heat to keep my temp 79-80.......works great. If you're not using fans it does get warm. Warmer that i would want. Over time it made not be a good thing.
