Lighting for Anemones

When looking for lighting for anemones what do I look for? What are the requirements for basic anemones? I haven't decided what kind yet. I have a 55 gal. and I don't want to spend a million dollars. In the chicago area any suggestion anyone. :notsure:

A four light T-5 would surfice..In reality, a PC of 260 or more would do depending on placement...

This one LFS I went to had them under indirect standard florscents. They were these red-footed jobies. Hatian something or other. I inquired, because I was perplexed. He said for the longevity they should have something better, but they arent going to die. I didnt really believe him...

Condys...just a pain in the but I.M.O. They can live in pretty bad lighting conditions but won't be a host for anything if thats what your looking for.

The best way to find out about the lighting is to do a little research. Each anemone has different requirements. I do know from what I have read, the carpet anemone seems to require the most light and condi tend to need a lot less.

I got a GBTA in my 90 under 6 - 54 watt T5's. It is doing well. It actually hides the later part of the day and comes out at night, mostly.
Strange for a BTA but working for him.
