i am starting a reef tank and would in the future like to include clams. what kind of lighting do i need for a 90 gallon tank? any help would be appriciated.

It depends on what kind of clams you want to keep. Squamosa, Derasa, Hippopus, and Gigas clams can do well under strong VHO or PC lighting. Maxima and Crocea clams really need MH lights for long term care. JMO.

thanks for the reply. i am looking at crocea clams right now, but i'm just starting to investigate.
