hi all. i am going to be starting a new 90gal BF tank. it will start out as a FOWLR for the first few months untill i get the fish in that i want and them maybe add some corals. i am planning to go with 440W of VHO lighting in hopes to save some money and be able to keep soft corals. i dont want to have to buy another light in the future, so my question is will this setup be enough? im not planning on hard corals but could i have these? basically what can i or cant i support with this setup? thanks.

Depending on placement in the tank you should be able to keep most softies, and some LPS's. You would just need to keep the LPS's higher in the tank. If in the future you decide to you want SPS's or clams you could always add MH and keep the VHO for the Actnic, that way you dont waste any money.

yep the VHO's should be plenty to do most sofites, adn some LPS, but stay away from clams or sps unless you upgrade to more lighitng, with Mh's perhaps!
good luck
