Lighting for live rock

I just bought some new live rock for my 1 month old 44 gallon pentagon. I plan to keep live rock and fish only in this tank. I have a saltwater blue 10k bulb and the flourescent light that came with the tank when shipped. I didn't buy another flourescent tube becase my lfs store said it would be fine with fish only. My question is this...Will my choraline algae still grow with this lighting? Will the cool stuff on my live rock still grow? Any thoughts? I wanted to get a 50/50 bulb, but lfs said I wouldn't be happy with it because it would look too dark. All advice would be greatly appreciated. This is the first time I've ever had live rock with neat stuff on it and I don't want it to dye off.

Some Coraline will grow but i noticed a huge difference when i changed over to a better lighting setup. i didn't spend over 100 and i have a 260w setup on a 55. But new lights are not nessisary for coraline growth. Just better. In my Opinion anyway.
