lighting help!!!

i have a 12 gal nano tank. I was wondering if 48 watts of pc will be enough to have zoas and lps.

I'd say that would do just fine.

Zoas, yes. LPS... depends. Just about anything placed high would be okay.

would a 150 watt mh be over kill on a 12gal nano?

you will have massive temp swings with that light. You only need about 60-70 watts of light for a tank that size. To be honest you should have very little limitations on a 12 inch tank with a PC light.

temp swings, evaporation - salinity swings. you would have to make up for it by pulling the light further away from the tank which translates into wasted energy
