gof ro a mh t-5 combo or a mh pc combo. i got the 305 w mh/PC odyssea fixture, and so far I'm not impressed, but other people like em so what the hell. You have many different options. Its 36" long correct?

go with t-5s. love em, just ordered some .i think..... but they can be cheaper, less heat, and less wattage but more light than anything else thatn mh. check out the tek 36" fixture....itll be worth it!

Thats a really great setup, and i think that you can probably keep pretty much anything with the new tek fixtures...i've heard theyre good. Check out Fankers tank he has t-5's and keeps lots of stuff. But yeah i think the best way to do it is tpo figure out what u want in your tank first and always get the best lighting u can, or you'lll just end up wasting money by upgrading later on.

heres my tank. i have only 5 28w t-5s and can keep anenomes. just wait until i get a 4x54w t-5 fixture. but make shure that the t-5s have individual reflectors.

My problem is.. figuring out how much t5 I need... like is there any way of figuring out wpg if comparing to say to powercompacts... such as... take the t5 lighting watts and multiply by 4 and you getting the same light if you were using that wpg on powercompacts..
And also... do you feel just 1 reflector for say 2 bulbs is not reflective enough?
I'm guessing therefore.. the odyssea unit and the catalina are both garbage?
