Lighting Opinions Wanted

Hi,
I have a used 125 DAS tank that I got about a month ago. It came fully established with about 150 lbs of live rock, a large brittle star, and a handful of mushrooms. I have since stocked it with:
1 Yellow Tang
1 Naso Tang
1 Sailfin Tang
1 Coral Beauty
1 Maroon Gold Bar Clown
1 Diamond Goby
1 Lawnmower Blenny
4 Blue Damsels
2 Sand Sifter Stars
some hermit crabs, and an Emerald Crab.
All are doing great, no fighting, and they eat like little pigs. The water quality is very good, I did a 20% water change the other day.
However, the tank also came with the plain old flourescent lighting-2 daylight bulbs and one actinic. Even though the lighting is anemic to say the least, the tank still looks great. My question is, what effect will a dual 48 in. Sattelite power compact lighting system have on this tank? Will it be adequate? I know that good lighting is vital, but, my money printing press is broke, and I can't get parts.
Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated, I trust you guys!
P.S. The water depth on this tank is about 22 in.

I have a 110 extra tall and just WASTED money on Pc's because i want to have anemone and corals. so if you don't ever want a reef then maybe, although i still think it's not bright enough and am saving for more lighting. It seemed the standard florecent was brighter.

How big are your tangs?? Three Tangs in a 125g is 2 to many IMO.
The lighting needed will depend on the corals and other inverts you want to keep. Is the tank a 48"?? & what corals are you wanting, clams, anemones??

The Yellow is 3 in., the Naso is 4-5 in., and the Sailfin is small-2 in.
The tank is 52 in long x 24 in high x 22 in deep.

Also, I want to be able to keep some soft corals, and maybe som anemones.

im going to put MH bulbs on my tank should i just put them on, or should i move everything until my tank adjusts to the light? also could i start the light higher and slowly move it closer?
