Lighting Oppinions

Some day down the road, I would like my LRFO tank to be a reef tank. Currently, all I have for lighting is a 24" Power Glow flourescent light. I understand in order to have corals, I will require more light. Can somebody suggest some lighting that may be appropriate? If possible, I wold like to stick with using a canopy. Ive heard of retrofit kits, but Im not sure what these are. Also, do you recommend "Moon Lighting"? Ive seen blue lights sold on e-bay as night time moon lights.

I just recently bought moonlights on the internet for my tank, and I love them! They give off a faint blue light that lets you see your tank at night..you can get them custom built for your tank, and can get many different colors
