Lighting Question (MH)

So I might be picking up a sunpod 2x150 MH fixture for my 55g.
1. Is this going to be sufficient for just about anything I want to put in there?
2. Are there any drawbacks from just running MH as that fixture only has MH and moon lights.
Thanks

2. Thanks
Hope this helps!! any other questions just ask!!

One of my tanks is a 65 gallon and I have a 400 MH fixture and I have all kinds of coral in it. I know there happy they spread all over the place I am gonna start fragin and selling on CL as long as I can keep up on it some zoos I have I'll look at when I go to bed wake up turn the light on and theres already 3-4 new one heads growing

Yes you can keep anything under metal halide. You can keep pretty much anything under t5, depending on the watts, and how close the item is to the light. I have an ann and sps in my tank with t5 and they are fine. They prob wont grow as much as under MH, but I like the option of having different collor bulbs and being able to combine any bulb i want. I dont think i would put a clam under my t5 but i have seen it done several times. From veteran reefers
