So I just bought a nanocube24 delux. With the stock lights that came with it, what kinds of corals can I keep in it? I just set it up yesterday, and have a while before I can add anything, but I would appreciate any and all input from you. Thanks! :notsure:

I have a JBJ 24 and I have:
1 Toadstool Leather Coral
1 Hammer Coral
1 Hairy Mushroom (Rock)
1 Purple Tip Torch Coral
1 Ricordia Rock (w/ 8 polyps)
Christmas Tree Worm Coral (my fave)
Ricorden Mushroom Polyp Orange (1 polyp)
Metalic Green Frogspawn Coral
Metalic Green Star Polyp
Bullseye Mushroom
Short Tentacle Plate Metallic Green
Red/Pink Feather Duster
Hope that helps out a bit, but I will be upgrading my lighting here soon! They are coming out with a bolt on MH for them, very nice!!!!

I don't think you can keep hard corals though. But I am not to sure.

Wow, you guys are quick! Thanks for the prompt response. So being a total newbie to salt water, which of the list that Jerth gave me are hard corals? Thanks again!!

None of them are hard corals. That is why he said he is upgrading his lights soon.

No problem. So are you going to get mushrooms and softies? Take some pics and show em off once it's all setup.

Yep all soft, none hard at all.... I want a couple of the hard corals! But the lighting has to come prior to the hards going in! You would do fine with any of the ones that I have posted though!!!

To tell the truth waterpolo, I'm not sure what I'm going to get yet. I am doing the reading and research now, so that when I have a fully cycled tank I can go nuts! This is my first crack at SW, so I am digging up anything to read that I can. (pics help too)
Jerth, when are they coming out with the MH bolt on? That sounds like a great solution. Do you have any pics of your tank? How long has it been running?
Thanks again!

Good question..... Whatever they had at the LFS. 19 pounds worth though. 10 pounds of live sand on top of that should help the cycle process, eh?

Yes it will help the cycling process a lot. Another way to speed it up is to get some crabs and snails.

I was thinking of ordering a package from here. I may just break down and go to the LFS again tomorrow and pick some up.
