lighting question.

I have a 35 gallon hexagonal tank 3ft deep and 18in from straight to straight. I was wondering which lighting setup would work best for a reef tank with corals an fish in this tank? The tank is not set up yet. T-5's or HQI metal halides both with moon lights for night viewing. Not sure what type of corals yet. Just wondering about the best all around setup. Also would it be better to buy or build the setup.

HQI pendant lighting with actnic pc. I think would work best.

its to small for t-5 anyways. the shortest ones are 24"

I thought so but better to do it right the first time. What wattage should I use. Also where can I get the actinic setup? Haven't seen any on here.

Correction on width it is 20in straight to straight. 24in point to point.
