LIGHTING question!

ok i just bought a 48" Odyssea HC Aqauarium light..it is a 260W V-4...2x65W 12k Daylight lights and 2x65W Actinic lights...and it features a 8 Moonlight LED ....is this a good lighting fixture for my 55 gallon (18" deep) reef tank??? thanks alot derek

its a decent light if u only keep softies, zoas and lps. no sps tho. maybe monti if u keep it near top.

Large polyp stony and Small polyp stony corals. SPS require high intesity lighting either Metal Halides or T-5's. The same can be said about anemones and clams.

What brand is the T5 fixture that you posted. If it doesn't have individual reflectors it really isn't worth buying.

i hv the nova extreme t5. i hv sps all over my tank. i keep the more lighting demanding sps near the top. the rest middle to top. they r all growing quite good.
