Im am planning to buy a 8g Biocube. The lighting in the Biocube is 18W 10K Daylight (9")
18W Actinic 03 Blue (9"). this is about 4.5W per gallon. What corals or anemones will this light sustain healthfully?
Thanks

you dont want to put an anemone in there,,, but most soft corals will be okay im not sure about stony,, you will just have a hard time keeping the parameters incheck. are yu going to add any fish (any as in one)?

ur light isnt enough to sustain an anemone long term. an 8-gallon tank is hard to keep water stable, bc any small change will affect the entire tank. the tank ur size, just keep something hardy like shrooms and zoas.

IMO I would not do a clown in an 8g. I would go with a couple of smaller goby's, like a red headed and a yellow watchman or clown goby's, a firefish and a tailspot blenny. If you are going to add clowns I would go with a skunk. I think Zoos and shrooms and a leather would be fine in there...May be able to keep LPS in there, like an acan frag or two.

You could do some duncans. Some dendrophyllias would be really pretty too...I would go with a flaming prawn goby and a clown goby. Both very small and beautiful although the flaming prawn is pricey. Very cool fish!!

Thanks everyone, yea i was just wondering because there are very few higher wattage replacement lights for a biocube. As for the fish, i am definitely going to consider the gobys.
