I got my tank set up for daylight and moonlight .. Should I keep the moonlight on all night long or just just for a little while and then at the dawn hours? I got it set up to turn the moonlight on as the rreular lights go off and then vice versa right now.. but should I change it?

r those the laser lights. if so, you can leave them on at night if you want.

Batty I'm not sure what you are planning but if you are going to leave actinics on all night and regular lighting during the day you may be making a mistake. Most of the creatures we keep require a normal day/night cycle same as us. A small lamp at night may be good for night viewing but regular lighting all night even if only actinic may not be a good thing.

moonlight is nothing like our actinics
so, I have to agree with NM, actinics are more of a ddep water appearance, but not a nite time. Nite time under the ocean is still dark. What we see on TV is lit by other lights which divers take with them. It still gets dark down there.

So you are saying go dark at night.. right fshhub??? That what I have been doing.. just figured I would ask.. being new at this.. I am a certified SCUBA diver.. and you are right.. deep down it is dark.. but at about 20 to 30 feet the moon does penetrate.. that is why I asked..
