I have a deep (24inch) 150gal tank. At the time of my purchase (tenacor custom acrylic tank etc) I couldn't go for the metal halides due to cost and no place to hang...I got 4x110 vho. Now that my live rock etc is in place. I am looking to go beyond my mushrooms, polyps and bubble coral. I have about 10 inches left on the top of my tank for more lights...the questions...
1. Can I add metal halides that don't hang? Will they be too hot to put on top of the acrylic?
2. If I can add the lights, do I always leave them in the same place (in front or in back of the vho's) or do I rotate them?
This great hobby is never ending!! I already have about $4000 in this tank and feel it is nowhere near complete!!
