Lighting Refugium?

I'm building a refugium out of a 10 gallon tank. It will be supporting a 72 gallon system. The area where I plan to put dsb and calurpa will hold about 5 gallons steady. My plans are to light with a 15 watt NO 10,000. Is this enough light to make the algae grow?

That should be plenty of light. just make sure you run the lighting 24/7. you could also just use a plant light to save some money.

I'v been running a plant light on my refugium for awhile with much success. I have all kinds of culerps and macro algea growing.
Should I really leave it on 24/7??

Hey Predator,
Mr. Salty and a couple others have some good reasons for doing so. Check this out:

I still would like to hear more reasons from people who go the other route out of curiousity, but the reasons for 24/7 seem pretty sound to me.
