Oh well, I guess I bought it blindly hoping it will be good.
What I got was a Tek Light 48 inch High Output fixture with
individual reflectors and a 8 bulb capacity with 4() midday 54w
and (4) 54w actinic.
is that any good?

The Tek is a good fixture. It is not the best T5 fixture though. I would have got the 48" Giesemann Moonlight Infiniti 2x250W HQI + 4x54 T5 Light Fixture. It has dimmable T5s and actually replicates the actual sunrise and sunset and then you can program in cloud cover during the day. Its not cheap though it sells for $3000. If money was no object I would have one.

That is an excellent fixture. You will be able to keep anything you want in your tank with it. I have the 6 bulb model on my 75. You'll have to see how you like the color of the lights. One of the great things about T5s is the fact that there are so many color combinations that you can make with the bulbs.

That is an excellent fixture. You will be able to keep anything you want in your tank with it. I have the 6 bulb model on my 75. You'll have to see how you like the color of the lights. One of the great things about T5s is the fact that there are so many color combinations that you can make with the bulbs.

I priced them and with the splash guard and the extra's you have to buy bulbs being part of it the yare much higher than the current nove extreme pro I woulda bought the nova extreme pro for less money sleeker design and everything is included and the monthly cost will be lower on the electric bill.
The tek I have seen and called and spoke to them about it and all said and done I would have spent about 200 more dollars on it to set it up like the nova extreme pro and honestly I do not like the design of thhe tek but thats just me.
For half the price you could have bought the sunblaze which will do the exact same thing as the tek for less than half the price and tek and sunblaze are made at the same shop
