Lighting Time For Refugium

What is the recommended amount of time to leave the lights on for a refugium? Mine sits underneath in the stand so potentially I could leave them on 24 hours.

I believe if you want FAST growth you can leave it on all day. but to balance out your pH you should run the light opposite your lights in the DT.

What type of algae are you growing in your refugium?
Some folks try to keep Caluerpa from going asexual by keeping it lit 24/7. I use Chaeto so I keep my lights on 12 hours a day, opposite display.

I burn mine 24/7 so its filtering 24/7.

I run mine 12 hrs WITH display, not contrary, I dont have any PH drop.

Thanks for the replies. To be honest, I'm not sure what I have growing in there. The LFS I got it from didnt seem to know what it was called. All I know it is green and leafy looking. For lack of a better description. Eventually I would like to get a good pod population growing. I only have a little LR in it at the moment. Next pay day I am going to put a bunch of LR rubble in.
