Yep, its a real PITA to program and set the thing, thats for sure. I can get it to set correctly but when its supposed to power the yellow (day) recept the BLue (night) are powered and visa versa..and thats according to the directions. I had twolike that already, as its like someone wired them backa$$wards internally or something. I had contemplated using them anyhow and just set them the opposite, but why make it ocnfusing if someone may have to look after my setup for some reason other, and besides Ipaid for what was supposed to be wired and work as advertised so got them replaced. Coral life is good at taking care of any problems without a hassle, but they are still a real pain to set IMHO.

i just picked one of these up tonight. is there a way to set it up so my...
actinics come on at 3:30pm
daylights on at 4:30pm
daylights off at 11:30pm
actinics off at 12:30am
leds on at 12:30am
leds off at 1:30am??
or do i need a dual timer powerstrip. from what i have gathered from the directions, its either yellow on and blue off, or vice versa.

you have to have two strips
I have 1 of each and the one with the dials runs a little slow (about an hour every month)but other than that I love it. the digitial one on the other hand, hmmm, I have no idea whether it is comming or going. They are not made by coralife, when I pulled the christmas stuff out of the closet the tree timmer was the exact same thing and gives the same problems

so I did some research on these coralife digital timers and decided to pull the plug on mine after reading about the fires they caused. I just got back from store with three individual peg style timers and a heavy duty power strip. I hope this will be ok.

Thats what I did. Even the battery does not hold the settings as claimed by instructions. The first time mine lost the settings, I assumed it was because the bat may have been old and no telling how long it was in the store, so I replaced battery, and it made no diference. It just gets old going through each setting every time yu get a power glitch or have a need to make a change somehwere. From what I read on the instructions you shoul dbe able to select SMTWTFS and then the on time and then the off time, and it should program the entire 7 days to go on and off at the same times, but none of mine ever did that and I have to select each and every day, and then they come up 180 deg out.NIght=Day day=night. I called Coralife anbd they picked up two of them on their nickle and sent me two on warranty, and guess what..they act the same way as the ones I sent back.
