Thats what I did. Even the battery does not hold the settings as claimed by instructions. The first time mine lost the settings, I assumed it was because the bat may have been old and no telling how long it was in the store, so I replaced battery, and it made no diference. It just gets old going through each setting every time yu get a power glitch or have a need to make a change somehwere. From what I read on the instructions you shoul dbe able to select SMTWTFS and then the on time and then the off time, and it should program the entire 7 days to go on and off at the same times, but none of mine ever did that and I have to select each and every day, and then they come up 180 deg out.NIght=Day day=night. I called Coralife anbd they picked up two of them on their nickle and sent me two on warranty, and guess what..they act the same way as the ones I sent back.
