lighting upgrade has drastically increased film on glass! Help!

I recently upgraded to 300 watts of VHO supplemented by 60 watts N.O. on a 55 gallon tank. The algae film on the glass has taken off. Should I increase the number of snails or what. I've got around 12 snails and a blue linkia that work on the glass. Help.

more snails will help. also maybe a grazer type of fish too. otherwise you will have to just join the rest of us with the glass cleaning chore. hahaha. but congrats on the lighting upgrade.

i keep a powerhead aimed at the glass which helps some, but the cheapest way to deal with this is a green scrubby.
