Lighting upgrade, need new advice

I just upgraded from NO flourescent to Compacts. But I have a question:
Before I replaced my NO lights every 4-6 months... I know that Compacts last longer but am having difficulty finding exactly how long their usable life span is.
I will be running 4 65 watt 10k's and 4 65 watt actinic 03's.
What is the recommended replacement time line for compacts?

I have heard alot of 1 year comments as well. just looking for a little reassurance.
Now comes the slow acclimation to adjust the tank 320 watts NO to 520 watts Compact.
The cool thing is that I will not run all 8 lamps all the time... I have a random interval timer for the 5th and 6th light to add some lighting variation through out the mid day cycle.
Should be good.
