Not at all, I've read that that moonlights can help corals grow at night but most corals retract at night and collect plankton in the water because the lights are off so they can't rely on photosynthesis. But they aren't for certain corals. I love to watch fish and inverts at night with the moonlights, I enjoy watching them at night with the moonlights just as much as during the day with the main lights on.
