Lighting

I've had my saltwater tank for about 2 months now, and it is a 75 gallon fish only. The lighting that is currently on it is just the standard light that comes with the aquarium setup. I'm thinking that I should be using something better. What is a good lighting system that I could go with? :notsure:

It depends on what you want. If you plan on staying fish only your lighting will do fine. The look won't be as good in my opinion but you can always upgrade to some PCs. If you eventually want to go reef I would look into a VHO or MH system; I would think about that now because both setups are expensive.

I would prefer to go with lighting that can accomodate reefs eventually. Not sure if I will go that route, but want to keep my options open.

For a tank of your size then metal halides would be the best and safest bet should you want to go reef. They are expensive, however, so getting them and then not going reef would seem a waste, in my opinion.
