Lighting ???

Right now I am running a hamilton 2x250 watt mh with VHO and am keeping corals great from SPS to LPS to soft but not having exceptionally fast growth I found some nice pendants around my area that are 2 at 150 watt MH do you think it would be pointless or overkill to have these 2 pendants over my tank I was just thinking there really couldn't be too much light but would it really do any help

How tall is your tank, if it’s 30 inch or more then it may not penetrate well enough
And what about calcium, micro minerals and waste they also play a part in growth

in my tank it is 23 inches tall... along with minerals and trace i use C-balance daily and also purple up daily.... and kalkwasser everytime my aquarium is topped off... Minerals wise i have a fuge full of growth and fiji mineral mud and trates are 0... but do you think the 150 watt would make a difference for some of the corals bc growth is ok just looking for things just to help growth

I think you will get some benefit high in the tank but I would try some dif things like water flow try moving things till you find the sweet-spot for each coal

and as i look back at some of my pictures of right when i set it up in may it is actually growing quite a bit i think i am just so obsessed i am being impatient i still think i might add the 2 pendants just bc in the near future i want to start a frag tank with some rimless tanks ;-) plus a store for frags REEFGUYS
