lighting?

i got a 55 with fish and live rock. looking into getting some coral. More than likely gonna start wiht some mushrooms, what kinda lighting will i need. right now i dont have anything fancy, just standard light that have been on the tank for ever.
any help would be great.

How much are you willing to spend? Do you have any idea on what type of corals you would like to keep?

i dont want to spend a lot of money.
in still new to the whole coral area of salt tanks. Like i said, im gonna start wiht some mushrooms

I would go with a Nova extreme 4x54, you might want to go with something used, to get a better price, thats what I have done most of the time
