can any one tell what lighting will work for making a 10 gallon reef tank, the tank is 20 inches long. i will like to have some leather, mushrooms, zoos.
i will like power compacts, but am not sure what to buy
the problem with that light is that no one else makes T5 bulbs that are 18" other than Current. at least not that i know of. also the current USA T5 bulbs are on the vary bad side T5 Bulbs.

the best would be a 150 watt metal halide. but you could also use 18" 96 watt quad PC bulb.
the 150w would burn the softies in a ten gallon. and on a ten gallon it works awsome i grow sps frags its a quarentine for my 90 but i dont like small corals in a big tank. but the lights is bright and is a really nice 14k
thats what i have it works awsome. i grow what ever in my tank just sps on the very top. im gunna get another one soon so i can have a full sps 10g that is plummed to my 90g

I don't know why most people don't like the currents for the $ I am very happy with mine and I have some peoblems with too much light for some of my shrooms I think you made a very good choice but some one will probably give a 100+ reasons why they suck
