Lighting!!!!

2 questions:
1. Do anemones need great lighting, or would a fluval marine aquasky 18 watt work fine?

2. I have heard that it is better to use a HOB protein skimmer instead of a HOB filter for a 15 gallon nano FOWLR aquarium. Is that true?

Anemones need a ton of the correct light. More than most coral.
If you have plenty of live rock you shouldn’t need a filter. I’d choose the skimmer. Just be sure it is a good one. The HOB skimmers are harder to dial in just right. I had good luck with the reef octopus HOB.
