Lights during cycle

Do you turn on the lights during the cycle period? I have a 90 gallon tank with 135lbs of LR. I am running a sump system, 2 power heads and a squd for water flow. The rock was added 9-17, some of the rock came from a tank that broke. The tank had been set up for 10 years and some of the rock has feather dusters and a few zoos. Does this change anything I need to do?

No it doesn't change anything. In my opinion (IMO) I would run the lights as you will normally so you can see all the life and atleast enjoy something. Ha! You can also work on timers etc. while it's cycling to get them right. Just my $.02
