This is what i have read is (the amount of time your lights should be on) in a few books and on some threads but nowhere does it say when is the proper or mandatory time at to when they come on and off.
Can I have my lights turn on at about 9am , even though there is a little light in the house at that time? I then would have them shutoff at 9pm.
Thanks for any help

Most of the animals in your tank come from a reef of some kind somwhere. The summer sun is on around 9 - 12 hours. I have mine on from 9AM to 9PM - that's totally normal.

SWEEEEET I know it's old and corny, well it fits me perfectly then.
I am glad the 9-9 is okay since i will see them more after work then during work. Most of the fish at my LFS are tank breed and you can tell the ones that are wild becuase they have a sign on it or they are about 5-10 bucks more expensive. But hey at least ehy will order almost anything you want. NO SHARKS they had some kinda law suit or sumtin like that.
Well thanks Keeper
my first fish will be 2 ocellaris clownfish (tank breed)

Logan moonlights?? this lighting thing is getting way farther ahead of me than i need it to be. I'm using a 48" 50/50 right now but its a cycling FOWLR but i REALLY want to get better lighting so i can get some corals and other light needed things. I am building my own canopy just need the lighting stuff. BUT $$$$
