Hello. I have a 4 bulb T5 current nova extreme light set up. Today I came home and 2 of the lights are not working. It seems that with these fixtures, every other is on the same circuit and the 2 that are out would coenside with each other. Any ideas why they would stop working? I took the bulbs out and tried them in the working ballasts, so its not the bulbs. I have checked the plugs and also checked for salt build up, cannot find anything wrong
. Fixture was a year old in December. Thanks.

so it sounds like a ballast issue, give current a call and if still under warranty they'll most likely have no problems replacing it...or you can buy replacement ballasts as well for it.

it isn't hard to find them to buy...just google search for it...and as far as i'm aware its not hard to rewire the ballasts, but i've never done it either.

I have a current 4 x 130 watt. light fixture. I've had it for 3 1/2 years, I burned out 4 ballasts so far. this sounds like your problem. current uses cheap chinese ballasts. In my case, current is the only one who makes a 130 watt. ballasts, so I have no choice but to keep replacing them with the cheap ballasts. you can get current ballasts a few places online, google current ballasts. I got my first one free because it was under warrenty. It's easy to replace if your handy. make sure you have some small wire nuts handy(little gray ones) because the replacement harnesses are shorter than the original and you might have to do some splicing. I hope this helps.

I just rewired a ballast a week ago or so. It was fairly easy and straight forward. Make a topic and ask any questions you have, SCSInet was able to help me.

Fatboyjoe is right, Current uses junky ballasts. I've gone through three ballasts in three years. Check out ballastwise's site. They have a nice selection of T5 ballasts. That's where I got mine. Very easy to replace.
