Lights on for a week = death for corals!

I went away for a week with my lights on a timer. The timer had always worked in the past, but for some reason, it didn't this time and my lights were on for a week straight. My tank was covered in algae, my star poyps had a white mucous like covering on them and had receded and begun falling off the rock, my toadstools are dying/dead and everything else with the exception of the fish looks pretty pitiful. I did a water change, but want to know if there is any way to revitalize/save my corals. My tank was perfect before this!!! Please help.

it was'nt the light i bet...i bet it was the salt level that killed everything. The water evaporates while the salt stays behind.
