Lights went out.. need some advice!

So i have a 12g nano tank and i got my first fish today, my lights blew in my nano tank.. both of them anyone know where i can purchase the lights? My fish wont die will he?

no. fish needs no light. some light from your room will help. what do you mean they went out???? it could be the ballast????

what is the ballast? I flipped the button to turn the lights out and they come for a split second then went out and i cannot get them to turn back on..

I dont think that went out.. cause when i turn the switch i get no day lights but my fans kick on.

my ballast blew once and nothing in the hood worked. So it must be something with your ligths. Do the bulbs look like they have a burn mark on em? Sometimes if they burn out they'll have a grey ring near the power end.

it could be the light. many online stores sell them. just look. i know the Drs have a special going.

There doesnt appear to be any burn marking on the lights, i just went a looked. I think its wierd that BOTH of them blew tho.. However i dont know what kinda lights i need to replace if i needed too..

doesnt the 12g bring a combo like 50/50 just buy the same straight pin. like i said the Drs have a sale going. go check it out.

the 36w is for the 24g.
you have the 12g you need this 24W Combo (10,000&#176;K/Blue)

you can get the 32watt bulbs by sunpaq also,,, they BARELY fit and the ballast (as long as it is still okay) can support them..
I just recieved mine today gotta put them in tommarrow....
and again to re-iterate what someone had already said, if the bulbs arent blackened on the inside,,, its probably not them...

How can i tell if the ballast is broke.. See when i turn the ballast on, my cooling fans still kick on. So that is why i dont think it is the ballast.

Do the cooling fans tie in to the ballasts? I didnt think they did but I could totally be wrong.

i have a 12g and my ballast doesnt have anything to do with my fans,,,,my fans come on when my daylight does though....so does your fans run all the time? or just when the daylights come on?....
I was thinking it can be the ballast, or just the connection to the bulb...
try puttin in new bulbs and obviously if that doesnt make it work, then check the connections,,, and if not that,,,,, its probably the ballast....(as long as all wire are okay also)
