Hi,
I would like to upgrade my lights. I have a 90g acrylic octagon with a tower (overflow box & filter) in the center. I have PC with 2 96w in front of the tank. Currently, I only have various mushrooms, ricordia, zoos, star polyps, bubble and leather.
I would like to get a 250 MH pendant for the front of the tank and move PC to the back. What do you think? Would I have enough lights to keep some other corals? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

How deep is your tank? A 400W might be better if you're only going to have 1 pendant. That would give you more options on coral choices or clams as well.

I didn't mention that the pendant I am looking to buy has a DE bulb. Its Aqua Medic Ocean Light HQI with a 250W 10000K HQI bulb. If I am not mistaken, it is supposed to give me the intensity of 400W. I have an acrylic tank and I am afraid that if I buy 400W DE it would melt. I think that if I hang the 250W DE pendant 8" from the top of the tank, I should be OK.
Any suggestions?
