Hello,
I've got some extra money right now so I was wondering what kind of lights I would need to keep some zoos, green star polpys, and a blue stripe mushroom. I have a 29 gal. tank, will be about 6 - 7 months b4 I get these but was wanting to go ahead and get the lights will I could.

you could get either power compacts or metal halides. If you plan on haveing hard corals or if your ever going to get a clam i would go with the metal halides, but there much more expensive. good luck and keep askin around, someone may have different views on this very talked about subject. Todd

Those corals have lower light requirements. You can probaby get away with a 96 watt quad power compact fixture (or spend more for a dual). Obviously, the more light the better. You want average between 3-5 watts of light per gallon for those corals.

Some polyps and mushrooms can even be kept under normal output lighting. Just thought Id add.
