tomorow im buying 2 ocellaes clowns or watever trhere called and i was wondering is it better to acclimate with the lights out?? i only have one yellow tailed damsel in there

I dont ever acclimate in the dark, but it is less stress on them.

I ALWAYS acclimate in the room with lights off in tank, blinds closed etc. as suggested.

dont want to start a new thread but i dont really have a CA test but how does the calsium go up? do i always have to be adding the calsium stuff?? and wat about ALK how do i control that by the way im getting tests for calsium and alkanity soon

Are you dosing calcium?? If you are, stop now. If you don't have a test kit, don't supplement.
Ca is used by corals. If you don't have any corals, you really don't need to worry about your levels. They should stay pretty level with routine water changes. You control Alk the same way. Regular water changes should keep everything in check. Good rule of thumb...if your pH is steady, most likely your Ca and Alk are steady as well.
