My apology Nissan, I went to the site to find out about these t-5's and found out the slimpaq lights are indeed HO lights.
I think this is what I am going to go with now, my mind is made up.
I like that they have the built in legs that slide to fit the tank as well. The top of my tank is 16" àcross the top so I will have a one inch extra on each side which I am sure won`t look to bad.
Another thing I did find out about the Marineland new LED lights is that they do not recommend them for reef use. For fish only tank sand low light freshwater planted tanks they are good for. So that cancels those out for me.
So let me know Nissan if you have this fixture`
Current USA Nova Extreme 18 inch 2 x 18 watt t-5
10,000 slimpaq bulb
460 nm actinic bulb

Well I think I am going to go with that fixture. I think it will look great ove the tank, there will be 1" on either side so that should not look to bad. Say what did you have to pay for it?
The only thing that many are saying is that they are not HO bulbs.Does it say anywhere on the box they are HO bulbs?? I know their sites says they are.
It is $99.00 here

I am definately getting them but will have to wait till i get back from holidays. So in the meantime my little 9" is doing the trick. I want to be home when I order them.
Hey what do you think of my new zoa frags??
Green ones are Lemony Snickets but I don't know what the other ones are.
I got these from a fellow reefer here that moved from Alberta, we don't ever get zoas like this here only the common brown ones. I am thrilled to have got these both frags for $10.00....

The new lights will be great for them.
Oh what do you think of my new buddy (porcelain crab) pretty neat critter.
And then the tank, looks a bit bare compared to the 3 gal but I really need to give the corals more room. They are not happy campers just yet as you can see from the pic, but in a few days they will be better.
I would like to get another piece of rock for the new zoas to be placed on but will wait for a bit on that too.
I absolutly hate the look of live rock, it is dirty and ugly looking so you won't see alot of it in my tank. If I can cover it with corals all the better. So will just let everything settle for a bit and then find a nice piece to mount the new zoas on.

Thanks Nissan, its pretty bare right now and very unhappy too but in a few days things will be better. I would love to get two rocks for these zoas to be put on, will wait till i get back and find the right size or rock and then i think i will glue the plugs they are on to the rock and let them go wild....

I wish that orange ric was fully expanded so you can see how big it really is but maybe by the time i get back everything will have settled a bit.
I just posted a concern in the reef section about starving my critters. I don't know what i should be doing to keep them fed now that my cleaner shrimp is gone and i use to feed him a coupld flakes, pellets and some frozen.
Would you add a fish to this size of tank??
I know i cannot add a clown even though i would love to, had that before and they absolutley hate sexy shrimp and killed my previous ones. So they are out. Would a yellow tail damsel be a bad thing??

Hey Henry is smokin. I like him. Another tiny fish is the Two Spot Blenny bimaculatus. They are very cute too. I will have to see if we have a henry here.
