I just baught two actinc PC bulbs, one is a Custom Sea Life 55w, and the other is Coralife 65w. The CSL is nice and blue, it peaks at 460nm, the other is purple, it almost looks like a black-light. It peaks at 410 nm. It just doesn't look right. I was wondering if the 410 nm is supposed to have that purple glow. I really hate it. Can someone please help me.

do you know if it is true actinic 03 or if it is 'actinic' but really just a bulb with blue glass?

the box just reads actinic,and the glass is clear.

you cant tell by the glass on the bulbs.
I would say you got one that atinic 03 and one that is 7100K blue bulb you can just get a nother bulb that will go into your system if you dont like that bulb just make sure it has the same pin shape. their are 2 main ones.
4 pin in a row and 4 pin in a square/
