Limestone DSB

On another well known Forum that I won't name, let's just call them --, they are talking about using Limestone/Dolomite for a DSB substrate. They say that it is as good if not better than Aragonite, as it also contains Magnesium. The reason this is interesting is, it is readly available at Home Depot (unlike Southdown) for $1.92 for a 40# bag in the garden section. It is called "Soil Sweet", and they are claiming to have used it for years with great success. Limestone is a calcium carbonate based sand, just like Aragonite. Has anyone ever heard of this, or tried it?

My DSB is from a limestone based sand I bought at Home Depot called "Amstone Playsand". Established the tank in Jan. so far everything is great!
