Limpet snails

I have 2 limpet snails, and well I havent seen one for a while now, but it comes and goes, the other one I think is dead. I have absolutley no idea how but it got on top of my tank cover. I found it there today stuck to the top. It took a while but I finally got it off and I think its dead. Its foot is really tiny and brown looking, not nice and wide like usual. Most likely dead but I put it in an easily viewable spot to see if it moves, or should I just get rid of it so it wont rot away in my tank?

Hard to say, but if you have hermits let them feast if it is dead. It won't take long for them to pick it clean.

i got two limpets as hitchhikers a long time ago now there huge 2" long never got out of my tank tho. i say leave it in for a while if it moves good if its dead something will eat it, one limpet wont spike ur tank
