Well, if you have ideal water quality, it may not be too bad. If you have water quality issues on top of everything, immediate treatment would be neccessary. How is your pH and kH of the water in the QT? How about the nitrates?

pH is good at 8.2
kH is 7
nitrates are about 20 unfortunately
ammonia 0
nitrites 0
...I think the nitrates might be high because this is an uncycled QT tank. I have a phosban reactor on the tank with carbon, but the carbon needs to be changed. However, I decided not to change the carbon because I was planning on adding the maracyn and the instructions say new carbon cannot be used at the same time, but older carbon would be okay.

That isn't too bad. You want to get your nitrates down and your alk up a little bit.
