Lion Fish not eating much

I've had my Lionfish now for about a week. He was eating ok but not much. I was feeding him silversides depending on size I only gave him 1 to 2 two times a day. Today he isn't eating at all. Just looks at the fish flares up then moves away from it. His body is about 3" and a nice color so I know its not stress. I did how ever notice that the back part of his body is getting slightly bigger so does this mean he is just digesting the food slowly or do I need to worry more about this area (between belly and closer side of the exit hole). Any suggestions?

yeah slow down the food. feed him 2 sliversides everyother day that is all he needs. feeding him that much will be hell on you water he is making a lot of waste. also swithc up the food everyother day also by some uncooked shrimp, mine also loves chunks of salmon and octopus.

Can you by the salmon and octupus at a LFS? If not then what do you buy from the LFS to feed him?

Somw LFS my sell octo squid, and a couple other frozzen meaty foods. or i by mine at the grocey store. just make sure you by fresh uncooked.
