well, i'll second the recommendation, You should respect your lion at all times when your "in" your tank. If your hands are in the water, your fair game. Its only time before you get popped.
I wrote the 1st article and after having many different lion species for the past 12yrs. I've been zapped 3 times, everytime my fault and everytime stupid. I see NO logical reason to hand fed these guys, IMO your just plain asking for it if you consider putting your hands w/in a few inches of the lions dorsals rays. I know everyone is a tough guy, heck I'm one too, but i ended up inventing 4 letter words once i ran out of the old ones i knew after i got tagged. Its not worth it and you gain nothing/ lions once weaned over could care less about your hands they see/smell food

Really found your article to be very informative especially for a newbie to the Lion Fish family.
